China and the Storm

 

If the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet,
so that the people are not warned,
and the sword comes, and takes any one of them;
that man is taken away in his iniquity,
but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.

AT a conference I spoke at recently, someone said to me, “I didn’t know you were so funny. I thought you would be kind of a somber and serious person.” I share this little anecdote with you because I think it might be helpful to some readers to know that I am not some dark figure crouched over a computer screen, looking for the worst in humanity as I weave together conspiracies of dread and doom. I’m a father of eight children and a grandfather of three (with one on the way). I think about fishing and football, camping and giving concerts. Our home is a temple of laughter. We love to suck the marrow of life from the present moment.

And so, I find writings like this one very difficult to publish. I’d rather write about horses and honey. But I also know that the truth sets us free, whether it is sweet to the ears or not. I also know that the “signs of the times” are so obvious, so alarming, that to remain silent is cowardice. To pretend that it is business as usual is reckless. To kowtow to the naysayers who accuse me of scaremongering would, for me, be disobedience. As I have said time and again, it’s not Heaven’s warnings that scare me; it’s mankind’s rebellion that is truly terrifying since we, not God, are the authors of our own miseries.

Before beginning this article, I sensed the Lord say in prayer:

My child, do not be afraid for the things which must come upon the earth. My chastisements are also an expression of My love (cf. Heb 12:5-8). Why, then, do you fear love? If Love allows these things, then why are you afraid?

And then I stumbled upon these words of Jesus to Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta:

All that has happened until now can be called a game, compared to the chastisements which are coming. I do not show all of them to you so as not to oppress you too much; and I, in seeing the obstinancy of man, remain as though hiding within you. —May 10th, 1919; Volume 12 [“hiding within you”, ie. accepting Luisa’s reparative prayers and sacrifices]

Yes, I do not dwell much on these things for the same reason: so as not to depress my readers. But it’s time for us Christians to put on our big boy pants and face these times with courage and boldness, sacrifice and intercession as…

…God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7)

For many of the things I wrote about years ago are beginning to unfold before our eyes, among them, the role of China in this present Storm…

 

THE RED DRAGON

On the Feast of the Assumption in 2007, Pope Benedict spoke about the battle in the Book of Revelation between the “woman clothed in the sun,” whom he said represents both Mary and the Church, and the “red dragon.” 

…there is the immensely strong, red dragon with a striking and disturbing manifestation of power without grace, without love, of absolute selfishness, terror and violence. At the time when St John wrote the Book of Revelation, this dragon represented for him the power of the anti-Christian Roman Emperors, from Nero to Domitian. This power seemed boundless; the military, political and propagandist power of the Roman Empire was such that before it, faith, the Church, appeared as a defenseless woman with no chance of survival and even less of victory. Who could stand up to this omnipresent force that seemed capable of achieving everything? …Thus, not only does this dragon suggest the anti-Christian power of the persecutors of the Church of that time, but also anti-Christian dictatorships of all periods. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Homily, August 15th, 2007; vatican.va

Once again, in 2020, the Church, as though in her own Gethsemane, is watching “anti-Christian dictatorships” gather against her. There are the soft totalitarian dictators who are increasingly imposing their opinion on others while slowly suffocating freedom of speech and religion. In the West, they include anyone influencing policy-making, from educators to Prime Ministers to media outlets and ideological judges. And then there are the more overt political dictatorships, such as North Korea’s or China’s where freedom is either eradicated or tightly controlled. While most of the world rejects the kind of oppression North Korea imposes on its own people, not so with China. That’s because the world’s largest nation with a population of 1.435 billion is not financially “closed” to the rest of the world. Though it is governed by the Communist Party of China, it’s government is more socialist in function as it is not opposed to trade with the free markets.

What is Communist about China is that the economy trumps human rights; theoretical and practical atheism are the state “religion.” To that end, the People’s Republic of China is known for its increasingly brutal campaign against religion, both Christian and Muslim, that recently has seen disturbing signs of aggression (Christian churches, crosses, bibles and shrines are being destroyed while Muslims are being rounded up in “re-education camps.”) Here, the words of Our Lady to the late Fr. Stefano Gobbi, in messages that bear the Church’s Imprimatur, come to mind:

I am gazing today with eyes of mercy on this great nation of China, where my Adversary is reigning, the Red Dragon who has set up his kingdom here, enjoining all, by force, to repeat the satanic act of denial and rebellion against God. —Our Lady, Taipei (Taiwan), October 9th, 1987; To the Priests, Our Lady’s Beloved Sons, #365

Moreover, China’s control, surveillance, and censorship of the population and media have become utterly Orwellian. It’s brutal enforcement of a one child per family policy (now two, since 2016) has drawn much criticism from other nations. 

 

THE DRAGON’S LAIR

But as it turns out, those criticisms are just empty truisms. Despite China’s human rights abuses, Western leaders and corporations, seeing an opportunity for huge profits on the backs of cheap laborers, have set aside their grievances and virtually shaken hands with the devil. As a result, China’s gross domestic product value (GDP) grew from $150 billion in 1978 to $13.5 trillion by 2018.^[1]World Bank and official government statistics Since 2010, China has been the world’s second-largest economy by nominal GDP, and since 2014, the largest economy in the world by purchasing power. China is a recognized nuclear weapons state and has the world’s largest standing army. Since 2019, China has the highest number of rich people in the world and is the second-largest importer and world’s largest exporter of goods. ^[2]Source: Wikipedia 

It is that last fact that is presently emerging as a much greater threat than The People’s Liberation Army.

The coronavirus “Covid-19”, originating in China and presently spreading throughout the world, seems less and less to be another “false alarm.” What we know is that the Chinese government has placed several cities under martial law. Tens of millions of people are confined in their homes. Witnesses describe the streets of these cities as though they were ghost towns. Due to the Communist regime’s tight grip on information leaving the country, it is hard to know exactly how many people are actually infected or dying.  

Aside from the direct human tragedy, there is another story emerging that may prove to be even more catastrophic than the virus itself. As I wrote in The Great Transition, it may only be a matter of weeks before we begin to see an economic tsunami resulting from China’s manufacturing sector grinding to a sudden halt. Some readers might recall my article in 2008 called Made in China in which I warned about the monopoly that country has over “nearly everything we buy, even food and pharmaceuticals.” Many nations virtually shuttered their manufacturing sectors in lieu of getting cheaper goods from China. But this is proving to be a short term gain for what may be a very long term pain.

Case in point, “an estimated 97 percent of all antibiotics and 80 percent of the active pharmaceutical ingredients needed for [U.S.] domestic drug production” come from China with only a 3-6 month buffer in existing supplies.^[3]Feb 14th, 2020; brietbart.com In other words, interrupting that supply chain could soon have catastrophic effects on healthcare systems in the West. And we are already beginning to see the economic impact elsewhere as corporations and manufacturers all over the world are facing a shortage of parts that are “made in China.” 

The economic damage will be massive. It will cause financial pain, impact financial asset prices, and will trigger central bank reaction. Get ready. —Tyler Durden; Feb 17th, 2020; zerohedge.com

Over the weekend, my wife discovered that the factory in China that she was ordering parts from (because they’re the only ones that make them now) informed her that they have temporarily closed doors due to the coronavirus. Then a friend in Calgary, Alberta sent a note saying that he went to buy a men’s t-shirt in a Walmart but there were none. When he inquired as to why, the staff told him, “We aren’t receiving any new shipments from China.” Indeed, Reuters reports that “Nearly half of the U.S. companies in China say their global operations are already seeing an impact from business shutdowns due to the coronavirus epidemic.”^[4]Feb 17th, 2020; reuters.com That includes the automotive industry, as China exports about $70 billion worth of car parts and accessories globally. Already, Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai, BMW and Volkswagen have reduced production and face significant financial losses as the buffer for car parts is only between 2-12 weeks.^[5]cf. nbcnews.com And Apple announced that it does not expect to meet its second-quarter forecast for revenue due to a shortage of parts “made in China” and a lower Chinese demand for the iPhone because of the cornavirus. The “tsunami” has already come ashore. 

In other words, Western nations have been drawn into the dragon’s lair and are now beginning to pay the price for what Pope Francis rightly calls “unfettered capitalism” that has put profit above people and wealth at the expense of creation itself. This is no more evident than in China itself, which has the world’s second highest number of pollution-related deaths after India as its factories belch out cheap products for Western consumers who are, at the same time, plunging into tremendous debt to feed the monster of materialism.^[6]cf. “China’s pollution is so bad it’s blocking sunlight from solar panels”, weforum.org As Pope Benedict keenly adds:

We see this power, the force of the Red Dragon… in new and different ways. It exists in the form of materialistic ideologies that tell us it is absurd to think of God; it is absurd to observe God’s commandments: they are a leftover from a time past. Life is only worth living for its own sake. Take everything we can get in this brief moment of life. Consumerism, selfishness, and entertainment alone are worthwhile. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Homily, August 15th, 2007; vatican.va

A new tyranny is thus born, invisible and often virtual, which unilaterally and relentlessly imposes its own laws and rules. Debt and the accumulation of interest also make it difficult for countries to realize the potential of their own economies and keep citizens from enjoying their real purchasing power… In this system, which tends to devour everything which stands in the way of increased profits, whatever is fragile, like the environment, is defenceless before the interests of a deified market, which become the only rule. —POPE FRANCIS, Evangelii Gaudium, n. 56

Russian Communist dictator Vladimir Lenin allegedly said:

But that may be a twist on words that Lenin supposedly penned and that take on a sobering reality today:

They [capitalists] will furnish credits which will serve us for the support of the Communist Party in their countries and, by supplying us materials and technical equipment which we lack, will restore our military industry necessary for our future attacks against our suppliers. THE WARNINGS

There are some in the media suggesting that the cornavirus could bring the downfall of the Chinese regime. On the other hand, this, or another pandemic or even a mere freeze in exports by China through a trade war, could quickly bring down the rest of the world. I doubt that the Chinese empire is going away anytime soon, and according to several credible prophecies, is poised to emerge as a superpower.

China is a country I have been quietly keeping my eye on for a number of years. It began in 2008 when I drove past a Chinese businessman walking down the sidewalk. I looked into his eyes, dark and empty. There was an aggression about him that disturbed me. In that moment (and it’s hard to explain), I was given what seemed a “word of knowledge” that China was going to “invade” the West. That is, this man seemed to represent the ideology or (Communist) spirit behind China (not the Chinese people themselves, many who are faithful Christians in the underground Church there). 

One of the chilling “words” I sensed the Lord speak to me several years ago was:

Your land will be given to another’s if there is not repentance for the sin of abortion.  

That was underscored in a rare and unforgettable experience I had while on a North American concert tour (see 3 Cities… and a Warning for Canada). As with nearly everything I write here, the Lord would later confirm it, this time with no less than a Church Father:

Then the sword will traverse the world, mowing down everything, and laying low all things as a crop. And—my mind dreads to relate it, but I will relate it, because it is about to happen—the cause of this desolation and confusion will be this; because the Roman name, by which the world is now ruled, will be taken away from the earth, and the government return to Asia; and the East will again bear rule, and the West be reduced to servitude. —Lactantius, Fathers of the Church: The Divine Institutes, Book VII, Chapter 15, Catholic Encyclopedia; www.newadvent.org

An American war veteran said to a friend, “China will invade America, and they will do it without firing a single bullet.” It’s fascinating and disturbing all at the same time that Democratic candidate, Bernie Sanders, who is an open Socialist with strong Communist ties, is filling stadiums this week while leading the primary polls by 15 points in his bid to become the next President of the United States. Indeed, Communism is already being accepted without a single bullet being fired.

This is not to discount the possible enforcement of Chinese rule under its military. In the apparitions to Ida Peerdeman of Amersterdam, Our Lady said:

“I will set my foot down in the midst of the world and show you: that is America, ” and then, [Our Lady] immediately points to another part, saying, “Manchuria—there will be tremendous insurrections.” I see Chinese marching, and a line which they are crossing. —Twenty Fifth Apparition, 10th December, 1950; The Messages of The Lady of All Nations, pg. 35 (devotion to Our Lady of All Nations has been ecclesiastically approved by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith)

Those words evoke the Book of Revelation where it describes the advance of Eastern armies:

The sixth angel emptied his bowl on the great river Euphrates. Its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings of the East. (Rev 16:12)

Several mystics, such as the late Stan Rutherford, conveyed to me visions he had of boatloads of Asians landing on the shores of North America. Maria Valtorta’s writings on the end times, which are consistent with the Early Church Fathers, wrote these words allegedly from Jesus:

You will go on falling. You will go on with your coalitions of evil, paving the way for the ‘Kings of the East,’ in other words the helpers of the Son of Evil. —Jesus to Maria Valtorta, August 22nd, 1943; The End Times, p. 50, Édition Paulines, 1994

I first quoted that here. However, I went back just now to read that message in context… and was surprised to see that this is the following sentence:

It seems as though My angels are the ones bringing the plagues. In reality, you are the ones. You want them, and you shall get them. —Ibid.

Written in 1943, that last sentence is almost a non-sequitor—unless read today. 

We have to understand the point of Heaven’s warnings to us in this regard. They are not given to terrorize or instill fear but rather warn and call humanity back to the Father. In other words, we are the source of our own terror when we remain unrepentant. We are the ones creating our own nightmare scenarios by departing from the laws of God. Such as when our scientists begin to tinker with our DNA and create biological weapons in their laboratories. In that same message to Maria Valtorta, perhaps Jesus hinted as much when He said:

…if a new animal could be made by crossing monkeys with snakes and with swine, it would still be less unclean than certain people, whose appearances are human but whose inner selves are more indecent and more repulsive than the filthiest animals… When the time of wrath has come, mankind will have reached the ultimate in vice. —ibid.

Pretty strong words. And they echo what Jesus has said to American seer, Jennifer, who after presenting her messages to St. John Paul II was encouraged by the Vatican’s Polish Secretariat of State, Monsignor Pawel Ptasznik, to “spread the messages to the world any way you can.” Consider these warnings in light of the cornavirus and man’s recent unethical genetic modification of creation:

This is a time of preparation, for your storms and earthquakes, disease and famine are on the horizon because man has continued to reject My pleas. Your advances in science to alter My ways is causing your souls to become in danger. Your willingness to take away life no matter what stage it may be is causing your chastisement to be the greatest punishment man has seen since the beginning of creation… May 20th, 2004; wordsfromjesus.com

As disease plagues areas where a great number culminate, know that your Master is near. —September 18th, 2005

The days are coming, for you will see how the earth will respond according to the depth of man’s sins. You will be plagued by disease and insects that will annihilate many areas. —November 18th, 2004

 

CHINA IN THE STORM

Indeed, as I’ve said repeatedly, the first half of this Storm that is coming upon the world—like the first half of a hurricane before the eye of the storm (the Warning)—is mostly man-made. The Seven Seals of Revolution that St. John describes in the Book of Revelation are essentially man reaping what he has sown—including plagues (see also Matt 24:6; Luke 21:10-11):

When he broke open the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature cry out, “Come forward.” I looked, and there was a pale green horse. Its rider was named Death, and Hades accompanied him. They were given authority over a quarter of the earth, to kill with sword, famine, and plague, and by means of the wild beasts of the earth. (Rev 6:7-8)

While it’s believed that Covid-19 came from wild bats, a new paper from South China’s University of Technology claims ‘the killer coronavirus probably originated from a laboratory in Wuhan.'^[7]Feb. 16th, 2020; dailymail.co.uk In early February 2020, Dr. Francis Boyle, who drafted the U.S. “Biological Weapons Act”, gave a detailed statement admitting that the 2019 Wuhan Coronavirus is an offensive Biological Warfare Weapon and that the World Health Organization (WHO) already knows about it.^[8]zerohedge.com An Israeli biological warfare analyst said much the same.^[9]Jan. 26th, 2020; washingtontimes.com Suddenly the question arises: is this virus a planned event to bring down the world economy? 

Communism, which is still the foundation of China’s system, was the brainchild of the Freemasons. Few people know that Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky and Joseph Stalin (names that are all aliases) had been on the Illuminati payroll for several years.^[10]The Illuminati and Freemasonry are two secret societies that eventually merged. Communism, and its accompanying revolutions, was hatched when Marx was only 11 years old. It was to be an instrument to overthrow the West, indeed, the whole order of things.

It is of the greatest interest that the term, Communism, was formulated long before Marx became a part of the program – for the very concept (a result of his Satanic “inspiration”) had been formulated in the fertile mind of Spartacus Weishaupt himself (a Freemason) years before. In every way but one, the French Revolution had come off as planned. There remained but one great hurdle for the Illuminati, that being the Church, for the Church – and there is only one True Church – formed the very foundation of Western civilization. —Stephen, Mahowald, She Shall Crush Thy Head, MMR Publishing Company, p. 103

You are aware indeed, that the goal of this most iniquitous plot is to drive people to overthrow the entire order of human affairs and to draw them over to the wicked theories of this Socialism and Communism… —POPE PIUS IX, Nostis et Nobiscum, Encyclical, n. 18, DECEMBER 8, 1849

I am thinking right now of a powerful prophetic word that St. Thérèse de Liseux spoke to an American priest I know in 2008—first in a dream, and then audibly during the consecration at Mass:

Just as my country [France], which was the eldest daughter of the Church, killed her priests and faithful, so will the persecution of the Church take place in your own country. In a short time, the clergy will go into exile and will be unable to enter the churches openly. They will minister to the faithful in clandestine places. The faithful will be deprived of the “kiss of Jesus” [Holy Communion]. The laity will bring Jesus to them in the absence of the priests.

If true, perhaps this will come about in ways we do not expect. According to Associated Press, because of the coronavirus, “Buddhist temples, Christian churches and Muslim mosques have been ordered closed since January 29th in mainland China”;^[11]Feb. 16th, 2020; apnews.com in the Philippines, Mass attendance is down in some churches by half; in Malaysia and South Korea, some places of worship have closed; and the Japanese government has warned people to “avoid crowds and ‘non-essential gatherings’, including notoriously packed commuter trains.”^[12]Feb 16th, 2020; news.yahoo.com In the blink of an eye, the faithful in those cities have been deprived of the Sacraments. 

Finally, this message from Gisella Cardi in Trevignano Romano near Rome. Her messages recently received the Nihil Obstat in Poland. This one came before the Covid-19 outbreak:

Beloved, my children, thank you for having listened to my call in your hearts. Pray, pray, pray for peace and for what awaits you. Pray for China because new diseases will come from there, all now ready to affect the air with unknown bacteria. Pray for Russia because war is near. Pray for America, it is now in great decline. Pray for the Church, because the combatants are coming and the attack will be disastrous; do not be deceived by wolves dressed as lambs, everything will take a major turn soon. Look at the sky, you will see the signs of the end of times… —Our Lady to Gisella, September 28th, 2019

Before mankind is able to change the calendar of this time you will have witnessed the financial collapse. It is only those who heed to My warnings that will be prepared. The North will attack the South as the two Koreas become at war with each other. Jerusalem will shake, America will fall and Russia will unite with China to become Dictators of the new world. I plead in warnings of love and mercy for I am Jesus, and the hand of justice is soon to prevail. —Jesus allegedly to Jennifer, May 22nd, 2012; wordsfromjesus.com

 

THE VICTOR IS THE ONE WITH FAITH

At the beginning of this writing apostolate, the Lord gave me several prophetic dreams to serve as sort of milestones for future events, such as this recurring dream some fifteen years ago. I would see

…stars in the sky begin to spin into the shape of a circle. Then the stars began to fall… turning suddenly into strange military aircraft.

Sitting at the edge of the bed one morning after having this dream again, I asked the Lord what it meant. I immediately heard in my heart:  “Look at the flag of China.” I couldn’t remember what it looked like beyond its red and yellow colors, so I looked it up on the web… and there it was, a flag with stars in a circle.

In another vivid dream, those military aircraft utterly filled the skies in all kinds of strange shapes. It’s only in the last few years that I now recognize what they were: drones—which we’d never seen back then. Moreover, this past year has seen the release of dozens of new satellites into space that are now filing by in the night sky in eerie rows. When I saw them a couple of months ago, I was shaken; it was like I was seeing something from that first dream. What does it all mean? Are satellites and drones combining to create a massive world-wide surveillance of mankind? 

Dramatic advances in satellite imaging technology in the last 10 years have privacy advocates worried about 24-hour surveillance… “The risks arise not only from the satellite images themselves but the fusion of Earth observation data with other sources of data.” —Peter Martinez of the space advocacy group Secure World Foundation; August 1st, 2019; CNET.com

It all seems surreal, doesn’t it? But it’s not a dream. It’s unfolding in real time in front of our eyes. Even if all of this blows over and turns out not to be “the big one,” it is assuredly another “small” sign. So, how should we respond?

Put your spiritual life in order. Writings like this one today are actually a gift to wake up those of us who are sleeping. They are God’s way of saying:

I love you so much that I want to prepare you. I love you so much that I want nothing to take you by surprise. I love you so much, that I continue to stretch these days of Mercy to allow you time to come back to Me, to repent from your sin and all that separates you from Me. But Mercy is like an elastic band that man stretches by His sin. If you, mankind, insist on stretching it to the point of breaking, then realize that the “snap” and “reverberation” is my Justice—and your choice. Oh, poor mankind, if only you would return to Me so that I could show you My love and assuage the sorrows you continue to heap upon yourselves…

In that regard, the Great Storm that is here is not the end of the world, but the purification of it. Evil, ultimately, will not win the day. Returning to Benedict’s words, remember the outcome after these days of sorrow are over…

Even now, this dragon appears invincible, but it is still true today that God is stronger than the dragon, that it is love which conquers rather than selfishness… Mary [the woman clothed in the sun] has left death behind her; she is totally clothed in life, she is taken up body and soul into God’s glory and thus, placed in glory after overcoming death, she says to us: “Take heart, it is love that wins in the end! The message of my life was: I am the handmaid of God, my life has been a gift of myself to God and my neighbour. And this life of service now arrives in real life. May you too have trust and have the courage to live like this, countering all the threats of the dragon.” This is the first meaning of the woman whom Mary succeeded in being. The “woman clothed with the sun” is the great sign of the victory of love, of the victory of goodness, of the victory of God; a great sign of consolation. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Homily, August 15th, 2007; vatican.va
