The Coming Revelation of the Father

ONE of the great graces of the Illumination is going to be the revelation of the Father’s love. For the great crisis of our time—the destruction of the family unit—is the loss of our identity as sons and daughters of God:

The crisis of fatherhood we are living today is an element, perhaps the most important, threatening man in his humanity. The dissolution of fatherhood and motherhood is linked to the dissolution of our being sons and daughters.  —POPE BENEDICT XVI (Cardinal Ratzinger), Palermo, March 15th, 2000 

At Paray-le-Monial, France, during the Sacred Heart Congress, I sensed the Lord saying that this moment of the prodigal son, the moment of the Father of Mercies is coming. Even though mystics speak of the Illumination as a moment of seeing the crucified Lamb or an illuminated cross, ^[1]cf. Revelation Illumination Jesus will reveal to us the Father’s love:

He who sees me sees the Father. (John 14:9)

It is “God, who is rich in mercy” whom Jesus Christ has revealed to us as Father: it is His very Son who, in Himself, has manifested Him and made Him known to us… It is especially for[sinners] that the Messiah becomes a particularly clear sign of God who is love, a sign of the Father. In this visible sign the people of our own time, just like the people then, can see the Father. —BLESSED JOHN PAUL II, Dives in misercordia, n. 1

SONS AND DAUGHTERS

The “prodigal moment” for mankind will come when we realize, through an “illumination of conscience” that we have been told a great lie as to who we truly are. The confusion in this regard is so deep today that some people even look at themselves naked in the mirror, and still don’t know what their gender is! Yet, that is only the fruit of an even deeper wound… the wound of abandonment, of believing the lie that either the Father does not care, He does not love me because of my sin, or He does not exist at all. But many are going to be Surprised by Love. For it is the Father who sent Jesus to reconcile us with Him. ^[2]cf. 2 Cor 5:19 It is the Father whom every soul longs to know:

Lord, show us the Father and we will be satisfied. (John 14:8)

Jesus told the story of the Prodigal Son ^[3]cf. Luke 15:11-32 to a Jewish audience. So when they heard the part where the rebellious son goes off to feed swine rather than return home, you can imagine the horror of his listeners: pigs were considered unclean to Jews. But here is where the story brings us to its greatest impact. After the son has his “illumination”, ^[4]cf. Luke 15:17 realizing that he had sinned against heaven and his father, he begins the journey home…

…his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him. (Luke 15:20)

If you’ve ever been in a pig pen for even five minutes, then you know how smelly your clothes can be after just a few minutes. Imagine working in it for several days! And yet, we read that this Jewish father “ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.” This before he heard the boy’s “confession”; this before the boy was dressed in a new robe, with new sandals upon his feet! ^[5]cf. Luke 15:22 The incredible message here is that despite the fact he is a prodigal, he never ceased being the father’s son. ^[6]cf. Dives in Misericordia, JPII, n. 6 That will be the overwhelming grace of the Illumination, to realize that the Father has not ceased to love me, despite my rebellion against Him.

If mankind as a whole is soon to experience such an illuminating moment, it will be a shock that awakens us all to the realization that God exists, and it will be our moment of choice—either to persist in being our own small gods, denying the authority of the one true God, or to accept divine mercy and live fully our true identity as sons and daughters of the Father. —Michael D. Scripture itself testifies that God is going to rekindle the flame of divine sonship in the last days:

Now I am sending to you Elijah the prophet, before the day of the LORD comes, the great and terrible day; he will turn the heart of fathers to their sons, and the heart of sons to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with utter destruction. (Malachi 3:23-24)

The Illumination will be a choice to Come out of Babylon before the Lord utterly destroys it.

‘Come out from among them and  separate yourselves from them,’ says the Lord ‘and touch nothing unclean. I will welcome you and be a father to you and you will be my sons and daughters,’says the Lord Almighty. (2 Cor 6:17-18; cf.Revelation 18:4-5)

THE MASTERPLAN

The gameplan of Satan is to destroy the knowledge and trust that we are created in God’s image, children of our Heavenly Father. This he has mostly succeeded in accomplishing over the past 400 years by moving us little by little away from this truth through errant philosophy. ^[7]cf. A Woman and a Dragon If humanity can arrive at the place where we no longer see ourselves as sons and daughters of God, but merely random particles of matter evolved from primordial ooze, then a culture of death will be born and death will be earth’s unwitting companion (for the theory of natural selection, coupled with free will, and divorced from truth, would suggest that humans should help along the evolutionary process by eliminating the weak and less perfect. See Nazism….) Thus, the Heavenly Father’s plan is to recall His sons and daughters from the wi cked snares of the enemy:

I will say to the north: Give them up! and to the south: Hold not back! Bring back my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth: everyone who is named as mine whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made. (Isaiah 43:6-7)

That is why I have written before that the era of peace to come will also coincide with the restoration of the family. ^[8]cf. The Coming Restoration of the Family

…man cannot bring about his own progress unaided, because by himself he cannot establish an authentic humanism.Only if we are aware of our calling, as individuals and as a community, to be part of God’s family as his sons and daughters, will we be able to generate a new vision and muster new energy in the service of a truly integral humanism. The greatest service to development, then, is a Christian humanism that enkindles charity and takes its lead from truth, accepting both as a lasting gift from God… —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Caritas in Veritate, n.78-79

Christian humanism recognizes the true dignity of each human person. For in the age to come, it will be not just an era of peace, but also of justice. However, we cannot build a “civilization of love” unless we come to know…

…the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Cor 1:3)

SACRAMENTAL REVIVAL

Priests may want to pull the mop pail and stacks of chairs out of their confessionals and vacuum them out. For one of the great and necessary graces of the Illumination will be a massive return to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Indeed, the father embraces the prodigal “where he’s at” because the boy is not defined by his sin but by his sonship. However, because the father loves his son, he does not leave him in the state of disarray and poverty in which he has found him, despite the boy’s plea, “I no longer deserve to be your son.” ^[9]cf. Luke 15:20

But his father ordered his servants, ‘Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. …we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found. (Luke 15:21-22)

Because God the Father loves you, He does not want to leave you in the state of brokenness, dysfunction, and sin in which you have returned. He wants to heal you and make you whole and restore you in the image in which you were created, in the Baptismal robe of purity, the sandals of truth, and the ring of authority and grace. This He does through the ministry of His Son, Jesus, in the Sacrament of Confession.

There are profound reasons for this. Christ is at work in each of the sacraments. He personally addresses every sinner: “My son, your sins are forgiven.” He is the physician tending each one of the sick who need him to cure them. He raises them up and reintegrates them into fraternal communion. Personal confession is thus the form most expressive of reconciliation with God and with the Church. —Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 1484

THE FATHER’S PLAN… MARY’S ARMY

The obvious question arises, “What about non-Catholics?” after the Illumination? ^[10]see the Church’s teaching on Salvation: The Ark and Non-Catholics and Too Late-Part II The Church remains the gateway to Christ. Everything built on sand is going to crumble ^[11]cf. To the Bastion – Part II in the Great Storm that is here and coming. The Blessed Mother has been forming her little army to catch souls as “Babylon” collapses. ^[12]cf. Come out of Babylon!The Church, ready or not, will be mobilized to receive new souls into the fullness of the faith en masse. We already see the first signs of this as Protestant ministers continue to migrate into the Catholic faith, as well as hundreds of thousands of other converts throughout the world, despite the clerical scandals. Truth draws souls to itself, despite the individual errors of Christ’s members. Christ, through this ministry, as I have gratefully learned in my travels, has brought many into the fullness of the faith, including Pentecostals and others of evangelical backgrounds.

I have already shared with you in Hope is Dawning a message I sensed the Blessed Mother give to me a few years ago. That message was just repeated in its essence at the alleged apparition site of Medjugorje this week, as well as the words I heard at Paray-le-Monial that the Illumination is going to lead us to a revelation of the Father. Allegedly given by Mary to Croatian seer, Mirjana Soldo, here is her message in the English translation:

Dear children, the Father has not left you to yourselves. Immeasurable is His love, the love that is bringing me to you, to help you to come to know Him, so that, through my Son, all of you can cal l Him ‘Father’ with the fullness of heart; that you can be one people in God’s family. However, my children, do not forget that you are not in this world only for yourselves, and that I am not calling you here only for your sake. Those who follow my Son think of the brother in Christ as of their very selves and they do not know selfishness. That is why I desire that you be the light of my Son, that to all those who have not come to know the Father – to all those who wander in the darkness of sin, despair, pain and loneliness – you may illuminate the way and that, with your life, you may show them the love of God. I am with you. If you open your hearts, I will lead you. Again I am calling you: pray for your shepherds. Thank you. —November 2nd, 2011, Medjugorje, Yugoslavia

Every single human being is created in God’s image, and thus, He loves each soul as His own. The Masterplan of the Father is to bring every soul in the world, if possible, into the family of God. That is, the “woman clothed in the sun” in Revelation 12 is laboring to give birth to the whole body of Christ. When she does, the world will be granted a “period of peace,” a “time of refreshing” that will flow like a fountain from the Eucharistic Presence of Jesus elevated over the entire world, in every nation:

The glorious Messiah’s coming is suspended at every moment of history until his recognition by “all Israel”, for “a hardening has come upon part of Israel” in their “unbelief” toward Jesus. St. Peter says to the Jews of Jerusalem after Pentecost: “Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for establishing all that God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old.” St. Paul echoes him: “For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?” The “full inclusion” of the Jews in the Messiah’s salvation, in the wake of “the full number of the Gentiles”, will enable the People of God to achieve “the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ”, in which “God may be all in all”. —Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 674

In the presence of the Indian Ocean Regional Episcopal Conference during their ad limina meeting with the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II answered their question regarding the message of Medjugorje: 

As Urs von Balthasar put it, Mary is the Mother who warns her children. Many people have a problem with Medjugorje, with the fact that the apparitions last too long. They do not understand. But the message is given in a specific context, it corresponds to the situation of the country. The message insists on peace, on the relations between Catholics, Orthodox and Muslims. There, you find the key to the comprehension of what is happening in the world and of its future.  —Revised Medjugorje: the 90′s, The Triumph of the Heart; Sr. Emmanuel; pg. 196

The Catholic Church remains the gateway to salvation—the gateway to the Gate who is Christ, who commissioned and empowered the Church to preach the Gospel and make disciples of all nations. The Catholic Church alone (that is, the sacramental priesthood) has been given the authority to forgive sins, ^[13]cf. John 20:22-23 therefore there is going to be a lot of work to do after the Illumination. Evangelization, deliverance, instruction, but more than anything, the work of compassion, forgiveness, and healing.

It is for this reason that Our Blessed Mother has been quietly forming an army in these times… the last of army of this age.
