Meeting in the Clearing

I have had a lot time to pray, think, and listen this week while haying on my tractor. Most especially about the people that I have met through this mysterious writing apostolate. I am referring to those faithful servants and messengers of the Lord who, like me, have been charged with watching, praying, and then speaking about the times we are living in. Remarkably, we have all come from different directions, wandering through the dark, dense, and oft times dangerous forests of prophecy, only to arrive at the same point: in the Clearing of a united message.

I am reminded of Monday’s first reading where the prophet Hosea writes:

Thus says the LORD: I will allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak to her heart.

I am thinking, for example, of John Martinez. For 34 years, he has kept messages in his heart from Jesus and Mary, not allowed to speak them—until now (his messages are now being hosted on a website here). I have spoken to John on the phone and through email. He is a humble, gentle soul without pretension. We have both come to the Clearing from different directions, but with virtually the same message: that Mary is the new “ark”, that there is coming a purification of the world followed by an “era of peace.”

Then there is Charlie Johnston, an American political advisor (see his blog here). He is sought after by high level politicians for his ability to run successful campaigns. But Charlie is also known for a more unusual gift: he has been visited by angels for a number of years. His spiritual director, in fact, suggested Charlie contact me because—what I am saying through the Magisterium, Church Fathers, and popes—he has been given in person by the Archangel Gabriel. Likewise, I have spoken with Charlie several times. He is wise, balanced, and does not sugar-coat the message he is called to give.

Last year, I was interviewed [1]Listen: A Protestant Interviews a Catholic by an evangelical news host, Rick Wiles. Rick is on a beautiful journey of truth, that in part, is leading him back to the Liturgy and the Sacraments. In fact, Rick believes in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, something even many Catholics do not today. He runs the website “TruNews,” known mostly for its radio casts that host timely and authoritative guests on the “signs of the times.” Rick and I were introduced to one another by one of my readers since, again, we have been preaching much the same message even though we have come from different camps. While our theology on certain matters differs, we have essentially the same message that “Babylon” is about to fall; that the world is going to go through much suffering due to sin; and that Jesus is going to manifest His presence and power. Rick pulls no punches and is not concerned with placating his critics. He is an Evangelical Christian, so some of his guests don’t always hold a fond view of Catholicism, and his own perspective is therefore, at times, subjective Christianity. Nonetheless, I believe Our Lord is leading Rick as he reveals the encroaching rise of a new world order and the return of Communism that was predicted by Our Lady of Fatima.

Janet Klassen (known as “Pelianito“) lives a province over from me in Canada. Introduced to one another’s writings from our respective readers, we were both taken aback how not only we were saying the same things, but writing them often at the very same time. I have spoken with Janet numerous times. She is a wise, prayerful, and faithful soul. We come from different parts of the forest, but continue to meet in the Clearing over and over again. Her writings, born from Lectio Divina, are brief, but beautiful; direct and powerful; warning but hopeful (see here).

The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest. (Tuesday’s Gospel)

These are some of the souls, the “laborers”, that I have met in the Clearing, that is, the heart of Jesus where a consistent and unified message is emerging that can no longer be ignored. What is also consistent with the souls I’ve mentioned above is that they all have suffered in order to bring this message to the world. The sign of the Cross always accompanies those who give their “yes” to God.

While I am in no position to authenticate their experiences or adjudicate the theological nuances of their material, I do invite you as readers, if you feel so moved, to listen to what these men and women have to say in the usual spirit of discernment and prayer that must accompany all that we do these days (and neither do I want to suggest that the people mentioned above necessarily endorse my writings). For God is alluring all His people into the Clearing so that He may speak to our hearts… May He grant us the grace, wisdom, and discernment to know His true prophets from the false.

Behold, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves. (Friday’s Gospel)
